She is the co-author with Andrew Goldstein, M.D. of,Reclaiming Desire: 4 Keys to Finding Your Lost Libido, the first book to not just talk about the existence of low desire, not just offer "quick fixes" like the long-overused "schedule time for sex" solution, but to really explain to women how complex their libido is (being affected by their intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical selves). She is currently in private practice in the Baltimore / Annapolis area. 10/16-Dr. Carol Scott talks with Dr. Peter Abaci

PeterAbaciPhotoSMALL.jpg StressRelief: Simple Steps to Get Power over
Chronic Pain & Addiction

You may not have the stresses of creating a multimillion dollar production --“This is It”--- but we all can learn something from one of the the root causes of Michael Jackson’s tragic death.

This week on StressRelief Radio, your host Dr. Carol Scott has a conversation with Dr. Peter Abaci board certified in anesthesia and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Peter Abaci has developed innovative treatments that have helped thousands better their lives in dramatic ways--techniques he now offers in this book for the first time. About his new book,“Peter Abaci has learned the secrets of successful chronic pain management and put them into Take Charge of Your Chronic Pain. Both pain sufferers and those who provide care for chronic pain patients can learn from his superb guide to contending with chronic pain and all its facets. He makes it quite clear that it is the patient who must do the work; the health care provider is a guide and source of encouragement and wisdom. This book is a counterbalance to the excessive reliance on pills and procedures that so often fail to adequately deal with those who suffer from chronic pain. The book is an excellent companion-piece for patients entering into a chronic pain management program.”
—John D. Loeser, MD, Professor Emeritus, Neurological Surgery and Anesthesiology and Pain Management, University of Washington

He is the Medical Director and Co-Founder of the nationally recognized Bay Area Pain & Wellness Center, located in Los Gatos, California. He is a voluntary clinical instructor at the Stanford Pain Clinic.

10/09-Dr. Carol Scott talks with Richard Moran

CONNECTING THE DOTS: YOUR PERSONAL STRESS & CORPORATE CEO'S
CEO Lessons for less stress in your life right now!
The economy has many of us stressed! Business drives our economy. So the question is are corporate CEO's the cause of your stress?. This week two very different public expressions in the news around corporate CEO's.
Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan has said his bank's new $5 fee debit card fee is justified because the bank "has a right to make a profit," according to CNN Money.
Contrast Mr. Moynihan with the loss of Apple CEO Steve Jobs has filled the airwaves with his quotes including...."Our goal is to make the best devices in the world, not to be the biggest."...and "A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets. "
And finally, there is the Occupy Wall Street movement that began three weeks ago in Lower Manhattan and has spread across the U.S. Demonstrators from New York City to San Francisco took to the streets to protest what they call a growing wealth disparity between CEO driven large U.S. corporations and average citizens in the wake of the financial crisis.
On StressReliefRadio this week our conversation will be with Richard A. Moran is a nationally renowned authority on corporate leadership and the contemporary workplace. HI new book is He has been featured on CNN, NPR, CNBC, NPR, Fortune, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and His radio show, “In the Workplace,” runs weekly on KCBS.
We will discuss his new book, Sins and CEOs: Lessons from Leaders and Losers, That Will Change Your Career, by Richard A. Moran. (www.richardmoran.com ) In this book, through the telling of true stories (but keeping company and CEO names private to protect individuals, share prices, and his future employment), he addresses nine common offenses, including sins of omission, which are easier to hide and justify, as well as the most egregious intentional sins. While indicting business leaders, Moran makes clear that we are all CEOs—that is, everyone is in charge of something, whether it’s a department, project team, volunteer committee, or family unit—and we are all guilty.
